Academic Team
Academic Team is...
A club that consists of 10th/11th grade JROTC Cadets who work together to compete in the JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl (JLAB), a nationally recognized academic competition created exclusively for JROTC students. Cadets who participate will test their knowledge and leadership skills through competing in a series of rounds against other JLAB teams.
Commander's Note
I am Cadet 1Lt Neeper, the captain of academic team. I oversee sourcing study materials, organizing practices, and make sure everyone on the team is well prepared for competition. Last year we were able to take Academic team to nationals, placing within the top 16 teams out of all JROTC's nationwide, and recognized by Congress. I hope to see academic team go just as far this year.
