Cadet Guide Overview
1. Welcome to the Unit! The purpose of this cadet guide is to provide you with a broad overview of the AFJROTC program. This document is general in nature and is not designed to be all encompassing. Along with your syllabus and other handouts, this guide will help you succeed in the unit, high school, and your personal life.
2. The objectives of AFJROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.
3. Most cadets will tell you they feel “at home” here in AFJROTC and enjoy the friendships they make. In addition to grade-level specific classes, cadets hold social events, perform community service, take field trips, compete at drill and color guard meets, fly RC aircraft and model rockets, hold leadership positions in the unit, and earn ribbons, medals, and awards.
4. I am glad you are a part of this great organization! Give it your very best, and it will give you skills that will serve you well your whole life. If you have any questions, please feel free to come see me.
